Good Night, Good Fight: Montreal vs Calgary

CFL Commentary by John Turner

Montreal 21 – Calgary 17

Great CFL matchup by two teams in the top four of the league. Lots of hits in the open field in this one and it had a playoff feel to it as well. Bo Levi Mitchell threw for 464 yards on the day while finding Josh Huff nine times on 12 targets for a 149 yards. As impressive as those numbers are it was Montreal’s defense that stepped up when needed to keep Calgary out of the end zone for the majority of the game. The Als(8-6) D pitched a shutout in the second half. Coach Khari Jones and the team weren’t expected to do too much this season. With the league searching for an ownership group for the team at the beginning of the season and shortly into the year firing the GM, they’ve played great disciplined ball throughout the year and are head to the post season, while fighting through injuries at key positions. With Bo being back to healthy the Stamps(9-5) should be able to bounce back and be primed for a run to get back to the Grey Cup.
